AI Employee plans explained
HighLevel bundles its AI products (Conversation AI, Voice AI, Reviews AI, Content AI and others) under "AI Employee". You can pay per use, or pay a flat monthly fee per sub-account. Picking wrong is either wasted subscription or a surprise bill.
The three options
| Pay-per-use | Growth | Unlimited | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | No subscription | $50/mo per enabled location | $97/mo per enabled location |
| Conversation AI | Billed by LLM tokens | 1,000 agent responses/mo | Unlimited (fair use) |
| Voice AI | Per minute: engine + voice + LLM tokens | 100 minutes/mo (inbound, outbound, widget combined) | Unlimited (fair use) |
| Reviews AI | $0.01 per AI reply sent | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Content AI | $0.063/image, $0.0945/1,000 words | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Overage | n/a | Billed at pay-per-use rates | Subject to fair use |

A simple way to decide, per client
- Look at one month of real usage on pay-per-use first, if you can. Most sub-accounts use far less AI than people expect in month one.
- Voice is the swing factor. At $0.045 + $0.015 per minute before tokens, 100 minutes on pay-per-use is around $6 plus LLM tokens, well under $50. Several hundred minutes a month starts to favour a flat plan. Run your numbers in the Voice AI estimator.
- Growth is a narrow band. It makes sense when a client uses a meaningful amount of Conversation AI but little Voice AI. Past 100 voice minutes, overage is charged on top of the $50.
- Unlimited is insurance. It caps cost for heavy users, but "unlimited" is subject to fair use, so don't build an offer that depends on extreme volume.
For agencies
The plan fee is per enabled location, so it scales with clients. If you resell AI, decide whether you charge a flat add-on (and carry the risk) or rebill usage (and pass the risk on). Model both in the SaaS margin calculator. HighLevel's article says pricing and model rates can change and recommends confirming in-app pricing before quoting externally, which is good advice for your client proposals too.
