SaaS Mode margin calculator
SaaS Mode lets you sell HighLevel sub-accounts as your own subscription software. This calculator shows the monthly margin once you subtract the plan, wholesale usage, AI plans and card fees.
What the numbers are based on
- Plan prices: Unlimited $297/month, Agency Pro $497/month. Annual billing is 10x the monthly price. [HighLevel pricing page; checked 2026-10-25]
- Who can rebill: rebilling without markup on the $297 and $497 plans; with markup on $497 only. The help center defines markup as "the margin added on top of HighLevel's base cost". [Rebilling, Reselling and Wallets Explained, updated 2026-09-30; checked 2026-10-25]
- AI Employee: Growth $50 and Unlimited $97 per month per enabled location. [AI Product Pricing (HighLevel help center), updated 2026-10-20; checked 2026-10-25]
- Pass-through fees: with re-billing enabled, a fixed 5% markup is applied to carrier fees, A2P fees and similar pass-through charges at the sub-account level. [LC Phone Pricing & Billing Guide, updated 2026-10-12; checked 2026-10-25]
How to read the result
Break-even clients is how many clients you need before the plan and your fixed costs are covered. Below that number, Agency Pro costs you more than it earns. Compare it with the agency calculator on Unlimited: if you aren't going to sell SaaS plans or mark up usage, the extra $497 - $297 = $200/month buys you nothing.
Usage markup is not free money. Clients see their usage. A 2x markup on a $15 usage bill is $15/month extra per client, but it also means your client pays double what HighLevel charges for every text. Some agencies prefer to bundle a fixed usage allowance into the subscription price instead.
The wallet matters for cash flow. HighLevel reloads a wallet from the card on file when it drops below a threshold, and pauses LC services if the balance hits $0. [Rebilling, Reselling and Wallets Explained, updated 2026-09-30; checked 2026-10-25] If clients' cards fail, their texts and calls stop.
